To facilitate teaching, we use medical extended reality tools to support surgeons, students patients and our international colleagues. As an education enabler, MXR elevates training by allowing users to walk through patient imaging and see it in a whole new light.
With state-of-the-art augmented reality (AR) hardware clinicians can view synthesized medical imaging data as a hologram in physical space, students can gain valuable training, patients can understand what will happen during surgery, and our international colleagues can reap the benefit of innovations being pioneered in our lab.
One of the ways that this training is delivered is though workshops which provide tangible hands-on guided opportunities to experience MXR tools.
